FAQs
How long do you play for?
We play a two-and-a-half-hour set. We usually start around 9:30 pm and finish around 12:15 am, with a short 10–15 minute break when tea and coffee are served (we've gotta stay hydrated). During the break, we keep soft background music playing through our PA so the atmosphere never drops.
Do you cater for all ages — even Mammy and Daddy?
Absolutely! There’s always a big mix of ages at weddings, and our setlist is designed to suit everyone. From older classics to modern hits, we can adjust the set on the night based on the crowd in front of us.
Do you play waltzes?
Yes. We have a selection of waltzes ready to go. Usually, two or three is more than enough for an evening, but if the crowd wants more, we’re happy to play them.
Do you play the first dance live?
We’d love to! If your first dance is a song we can perform live, we’ll happily learn it for the night. And if you’re still choosing a song, just ask, and we can give you some suggestions.
Do you provide a DJ?
Yes. We work with a DJ who joins us on the night. He sets up during our break and is ready to go as soon as we finish, keeping the party going into the small hours.
If you already have your own DJ booked, that’s no problem; we’ll coordinate with them for a seamless handover.
When do you set up the equipment?
We arrive at the venue about an hour and a half before showtime. Once speeches and formalities are finished, we’ll move in and set up. It normally takes about 30 minutes to get everything ready to go.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. We do require a deposit to secure your date. Once your deposit is paid, we’ll send you a booking confirmation and receipt.
Can you play at a reasonable volume?
Of course. We always aim for the perfect balance, loud enough to keep the dancefloor full, but comfortable enough that guests can sit, chat and still enjoy the night. Volume is never an issue; just let us know your preference.
How many weddings do you do per day?
We only perform for one wedding per day. When you book us, the entire day is yours. We don’t take any other bookings, so there’s never any rushing or overlap.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as possible. Weekend dates, especially during summer, fill up fast. Once you know your venue and date, get in touch, and we’ll check availability.
Do you travel outside Tipperary for weddings?
As much as we love Tipperary, we do travel nationwide for weddings and events. Distance isn’t an issue (within reason). We always recommend reaching out to us to review our availability well in advance so there are no surprises.
